Field Day Volunteers Needed!

Dear Parents/Guardians,

The 2016 Mabel Rush Elementary School Field day is coming soon, on Thursday, June 16th. The Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd will be enjoying their events from 9:55 –11:10am. The 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders will be partaking in the fun from 1:15 – 2:30pm. The entire school will return to watch and cheer for the 5 students who participate in the 5 Alive Relay, as well as the 5th grade tug-of-war at 2:35pm on the lower field (or in the gym if it is raining).
This is a wonderful opportunity for parents, grandparents, and/or guardians to see their kids having fun and interacting with their classmates.
In order to have field day run smoothly, we need your help! As required for all school activities, you simply need a criminal background check to be done through the district office and to wear your volunteer badge. With your help, we can make this end of the year an exciting and memorable one for your child! Deadline to sign up is June 9th. Please include which session (or set up/take down) you are available to help. On Field Day please plan on arriving in the gym at 9:20am for the morning session, or 12:40pm for the afternoon session. To help with set-up, please plan to arrive at the school at 8:00am; take down will begin after the 5th grade tug-of-war (likely around 3:00pm). Dress for the weather! We appreciate all the parent support we already receive at Mabel Rush Elementary, and hope you will be available to assist with this fun end of the year event!
