In honor of Martin Luther King’s birthday, there is no school on Monday, January 19.
Congratulations
Congratulations to Celes Haney for winning the Chehalem Cultural Center’s Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration poster contest. We understand that her work will be featured and used in media related to the January 19 celebration which is from 5-6pm. Celes will be awarded a special prize at the celebration as well.
We’d also like to congratulate the various MV beginning art students who submitted work which will be on display at the celebration.
Other Events
Tuesday was a nice day to spend a few minutes outside as we practiced our monthly fire drill. This month we added a lockdown and earthquake drill to the mix.
Overdue library books were due today. Students were asked to see Mrs. Jin to renew or let her know the book(s) is lost.
The Mtn. View WebStore not only allows you to purchase items, but you can also see if your student owes money. Items listed would be Instrument Rental, lost locks, or lost textbooks.
End of the Semester
The end of the Semester is next Friday, January 23. Teachers will be submitting grades on Monday, January 26, so there is no school that day. By February 2, Mtn. View will have a digital form of your student’s report card accessible to you. We will notify you via phone, email, Facebook, Twitter and NSD app when the digital report cards are ready and where to look. If you will need a hardcopy, we will be very happy to provide one for you. Contact information for the hardcopy will be announced when report cards are available.
