Monday, January 12, will be yellow and green day at Mtn. View in support of the U of O Ducks bid for the College Football National Championship.

Reminders
Students were reminded of the following this week…

*Library books checked out before the Winter Break are now overdue.  Students were asked to stop by the library to return or renew their book.

*Cell phone school rules.  We reminded students that cell phones are to remain in their lockers during the school day, taking pictures is not allowed, cell phones can be taken from students if found with them between 1st and 7th periods and under certain circumstances parents must pick up their student’s phone. More information is available in the Mtn. View Student/Parent Handbook.

Design Star
Sixth graders are starting their Design Star unit which is fun for them and us since we get to see their awesome designs.  To learn more about this project, click here for a variety of articles about Design Star.

ParentLink vs ParentVue
Recently you may have received notification inviting you to sign up for ParentLink which is a new communication tool the Newberg School District has made available to parents and students.  Due to some unique aspects of the Mountain View schedule, we are suggesting you continue to use ParentVue to view your student's grades.  At this time, ParentVue functions better with our schedule and will give you more complete access to information about student grades.  We are in hopes that ParentLink will be a viable option in the future and will let you know when that is the case.
