As we look ahead to the 2015/16 school year, Mtn. View Middle School (MVMS) would like welcome our incoming 5th graders and parents! Please take a moment to look at the steps you will be taking before your student enters Mtn. View.
Step One - Choosing an Elective and the 5th Grade Transition Parent Night
February 26, 2015 from 7-8 pm
During this evening visit at MVMS, you and your incoming 6th grader will choose an elective and return the form to us that night. We will have the electives showcased as well as share a variety of information about some of the differences you and your student will find at the middle school. Along with choosing an elective, there will be an opportunity to tour the building, practice opening lockers, get answers to questions, learn about needed immunizations, discover opportunities to volunteer and more. Parking is available in the Mtn. View Parking Lot, street parking, or the NHS Parking Lot next to the Tennis Courts. Entry is available at the back of Mtn. View. Please be courteous of our neighbors and do not block their driveways.
Step Two - 5th graders tour MVMS

Tuesday before the first week of school 5-8 pm (watch your mail in mid-August for dates)
This is a “don’t miss” event that has replaced our Back to School Night. At this event, you will be able to take care of things before school starts such as: pay for and receive PE Uniform, learn about the Mtn. View Parent Group, buy a Yearbook, deposit lunch money, receive your student’s schedule and locker assignment, deposit school supplies in their locker, find out what bus they will ride from Bus Barn representatives (if they ride a bus) and learn about middle school sports which run through CPRD.
