Dundee memorial to honor deceased students

A memorial to honor the lives of Dundee students who have been lost in the last three years is taking shape under the leadership of Newberg High School senior Carley Thomas. The memorial is her senior project and will honor Amy, Bailey and Jackson Engels, Casey Binkerd, Colton Fettig, Jordan Boggs, Marissa Poznanski and Christian Nelson.  The project is planned in two phases – benches and plaques will be place in the Dundee Elementary courtyard in April. A local artist will work with students next fall to embellish the benches with mosaic tiles. A dedication is planned for April. Contributions can be sent to Dundee Elementary School.
