Grades 1-3 Hearing Screening
Dear Parents/ Guardians
The Newberg School District Speech Therapy team will be providing hearing screenings to Edwards elementary students in grades 1-3, September 19, 2022.
The hearing screening will consist of a pure tone screening using headphones in a quiet separate location within the school building. The total screen takes approximately 3-5 minutes per student. If your child does not pass the hearing screening, we will do a second screening after a couple weeks. If they do not pass the hearing screening a second time, we will contact you about recommended next steps. If they pass the hearing screening, there are no concerns and you will not be contacted.
If you do not want your student to participate, please sign and return the OPT OUT form TO THE OFFICE no later than 9/16/2022.
