Mabel Parents Update

Greetings, again!  It seems I'm writing a lot lately, but the news comes quickly this time of year!

•     We have office phones!!  They were hooked up this afternoon so please feel free to call with your questions/concerns (503-554-4450).  The classroom phones will be connect in the near future so right now we deliver messages the old fashioned way -- paper!
•     As I thought might happen, our Classroom Night/Open House date has been moved to the following week -- we just couldn't get ready that quickly!!  Thus, PLEASE MARK YOUR CALENDAR with this date change since it's really important to us this year that we see all Mabel Rush families.  The Kindergarten Classroom night remains the same, Tuesday, September 4th at 7:00pm.  The 1st-5th grade date is now Thursday, September 13th.

On Thursday, September 13th 1st - 5th grades:
6:30-7:00   1st-2nd grade Classroom Night (parents in classrooms for teacher presentation, students supervised)
7:00-7:30    Open House -- students and parents visit all the teachers and other classrooms, check out the tables for Boy Scouts, reading materials, etc.
7:30-8:00   3rd-5th grade Classroom Night (parents in classrooms for teacher presentation, students supervised)

    See you this Thursday between 4:00 and 5:30 for Supply Night.  Bring the supplies, see friends, meet all the teachers ................

    I'm off to Tunes on Tuesday to enjoy all the work the Mabel Rush parents have put into selling Scrip and starting the school year with such positive energy around Parent Group activities.  You can tell the year is going to be nothing but fun when the Parent Group's first event includes a rock and roll band!
