I hadn't intended to send a parent e-mail out today, but after this morning's excitement I thought I'd better fill you in just in case you should get a partial communication! At 8:10 this morning the fire alarms sounded and the building was evacuated in less than a minute. The alarm panel alerted us to a system water flow problem so when the fire department arrived they found that an electrical panel had been mislabeled. The fire sprinkler water flow had accidentally been turned off and when it was turned on and began to fill again, the computer registered the instant water flow as a sprinkler going off and alerted us to "fire." I'm sure there were moments of panic as parents pulled into the drop-off zone this morning and saw fire trucks. Students and staff handled this just as they are trained to do and we were all in the building by 8:25 and all had a great day.
