Mabel Rush loves Family Math!! George Fox math students will be here Tuesday at 7:00pm for 3rd-5th graders to enjoy an evening of math games. It is intended for families to play games together or be able to replicate at home should you desire. Many teachers allow this event to count as their homework that evening......................... fun!!
Conferences are coming up November 19/20 yet will be different this year due to being limited to 8 hours of conferencing. This is the first time in the fall that we have not met with every family. Teachers will send home a note on Nov. 13th outlining a proposed conference date/time for those they desire to see. If you desire to see a teacher who has not requested to see you, please call the office for one of the open conference slots. We want to make it work for everyone.
I don't know what has happened, but I'm suddenly a college football fan and have great anticipation for this year's Civil War football game!! Since it happens during Thanksgiving break, Mabel Rush will host our annual Civil War Canned Food Drive in the lobby the week of Nov. 13-16th. Students, staff, and parents are invited to wear the game colors of their choice on Friday, Nov. 16th.
This Friday (Nov. 9th) the Student Council is sponsoring their first dress-up day -- Pajama Day! Council members will be around to tell students about it this week.
Mark your calendar to attend our first holiday bazaar on Saturday, Nov. 17th. The booths have all been sold but we could probably find room for more if you wanted a spot. It will be fun to gather with family and friends in such a festive atmosphere! Bring the neighborhood -- even Santa plans to attend..............
