Mabel Rush teachers readied the new Google Nexus 7 tablets first grade students when they return from winter break. Teachers worked with district technology coordinator Jamie McParland to prepare the tablets to support skill building with apps and eventually as productivity skills.
"I showed them a few tips and tricks and they showed me some really really awesome apps they are going to use in the classroom," said McParland. "I'm excited to get to see the kids use these!"
The Nexus 7's were purchased using Mabel Rush PIE parent group funds and some school-wide fundraising (sleep over, etc.) They are going to be used in Primary classrooms.
