STEM at Crater

Crater teachers practicing STEM activities to be better able to teach STEM in their classrooms.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You may have heard the acronym STEM (science, technology,     engineering and math).  At Crater we have begun to implement more and more STEM activities for your students.  The STEM process is a cycle of: research, design, build, test, and improve, around a real world question.  Each STEM activity has restraints and desired    outcomes.

For those of you who follow the school on Facebook or Twitter, you have seen STEM in action in many of your student’s classrooms.  I have also included a couple of articles about STEM for those of you who would like to look deeper.  As always if you have any questions about STEM in the classroom, please don’t hesitate to contact your child’s teacher or myself.  In the meantime happy engineering.
