Welcome back to School!!

PLACEMENT LETTERS
Placement letters were mailed home to all 1st - 5th grade students on Friday, August 9th.  If you did not receive your child's placement letter or if you have any questions please contact the Crater office at 503-554-4650.  Kindergartners will find out who their teacher will be at the "Ice Cream Social" on Tuesday, August 29th.

MEET THE TEACHERS AND SEE THE CLASSROOM
There will be an "Ice Cream Social" for kindergarteners on Thursday, August 29th from 6 to 7 PM.  At the Ice Cream Social you will find out who your teacher is and get a chance to check out your classroom, as well as enjoy a sweet treat. 

There will be a "Supply Night" for grades 1st - 5th  on Thursday, August 29th from 4:30 - 5:30 PM, students will have a chance to meet their teacher and drop off their school supplies.

SCHOOL BEGINS: Kindergarten Orientation will be either Tuesday, September 3rd or Wednesday, September 4th, 2013. The teacher will advise parents of the time and day. Classes begin on Thursday, September 5th, 2013. Grades 1st through 5th: Classes begin on Tuesday, September 2nd, 2013.

SCHOOL HOURS:
Grades 1 - 5 and Full-day Kindergarten:
Mondays/Tuesdays/Thursdays/Fridays: 8:30 AM - 3:10 PM
**Wednesdays only: 9:30 AM - 3:10 PM
Half-Day Kindergarten:
Mondays/Tuesdays/Thursdays/Fridays: 8:30 AM - 11:10 AM
**Wednesdays only: 9:30 AM - 11:45 AM

**Late Start Wednesdays: Every Wednesday school starts one hour later than the rest of the week. School will start at 9:30 AM throughout the school year (except the final Wednesday of the year). If possible, please send students to school between 9 and 9:20 AM. However, if your child needs to arrive at the regular start time, there will be supervision with activities that will have an academic focus. A small group of staff will support students.

ENROLLMENT INFORMATION
All forms can be turned into the Crater Office after August 19. Our office hours are 8 am to 4 pm.
