The 6th grade CVMS "24" math team competed against Mt. View 6th graders on Saturday, April 16 in front of a large crowd of friends and family. Tomas Beralas, Ann Nelson, Davis Smith, Michael Sproul, Tyler Straub, Brandon Takahashi, and Rayce Vergets all
advanced to the semi-finals.
Tyler finished first overall for the second year in a row, and Rayce Vergets took 4th place. Newberg High School students sponsored the event as a Senior Project and also were the Equation Officers that refereed the tables. This annual event includes 4th, 5th and 6th graders from all Newberg elementary and middle schools.
