CV cranes send good wishes to Japan

Students in Simone Conley’s core class are folding cranes to show their support for their Japanese friends and families. Chehalem Valley Middle School has a 21-year sister school relationship with Wadayama junior High School in the southern part of Japan. The cranes hand in a window overlooking the school’s Japanese garden which was a gift from Wadayama.
The cranes are a Japanese tradition according to Conley. She says as the wind blows through them, it sends good wishes and hope to them.
