Friday Folder for September 3, 2010
Back to School Night
We had 507 students and their families show up for Back to School Night. Considering that we printed out 644 schedules, we had quite a tremendous turn-out! It was great to see all of the new faces and definitely the old ones as well. Thank you to All who came out. Special thanks to Larry Hampton, Stan Brown, Debra Whiting, Derrie Palmer, Barb Engelen, Terry Ellson, Ann Marie Benetti, Stacie Wolfe, Rena Kosters, our custodians, our teachers and our student ambassadors for a job well done!
School Starts
School starts on Tuesday, September 7th. The first bell rings at 7:35 AM with classes beginning at 7:45 AM. Please do not be late! Those of you that were not able to attend Back to School Night can pick up your schedules in the gym when you arrive at school on Tuesday morning. We realize that this is a transition for many, thus we will have many staff members out and about to assist with schedules, lockers, etc. I hope you are as excited as I am for this first day!
Wadayama
We are excited for the impending arrival of our sister school from Japan. The Japanese students are set to arrive on September 17 and will be with us through the 27th. As always, this marks a time of great excitement and learning for everyone involved. We will have a welcome assembly on Monday.
