Holiday Music Concerts
On Tuesday and Thursday, the beginning, intermediate and advanced bands performed along with our strings and choir. The kids did a
great job. I took my daughter to the Thursday concert and she was very impressed with not only how the students sounded, but also with how they conducted themselves during the concert. Thank you to Dave Sanders and Gwen Gilbertson for their work with our groups.
Winter Formal
The winter formal is tonight at 7 PM. Thank you to Kelly Ceder and Leadership for organizing and to the many staff that will be supervising. Students that did not have any referrals and who had less than 4 tardies are allowed to attend. All proceeds will be in support of our PBIS program. The students are very excited to say the least!
Google Docs
We have collected all of our Google Doc Apps. Thank you to everyone for turning them in and thank you to the staff for helping to collect the forms.
PTO
We have a scheduled PTO meeting next Thursday at 6:30 PM. The January PTO meeting will be on January 19th where the high school principals will be here to talk about the 8th grade transition.
Absences
Please be cognizant that we are extremely vigilant in regards to attendance. The following is the list of reasons the state provides as excusable absences:
-Student illness
-Illness of an immediate family member
-Emergency
-Doctor/Dental Appointment
-Death of an immediate family member
-Court summons
-Satisfactory arrangements, made in advance with the school for other reasons
Parent Volunteers
If you are looking to volunteer for the school please contact Mary Reohr at reohrm@newberg.k12.or.us. We currently have volunteer opportunities in our after school homework club, and in our classrooms.
After School HW Club
Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:30-3:30 PM. A late bus is provided.
Toy Drive
Thank you to all that donated toys to during our toy drive. We had over 200 toys donated along with $500 dollars. Thank you!
