Mr. Franco

Happy Summer to All of You!

8th Grade Celebration
Thank you to the 8th graders for their hard work the past three years. We wish you the best of luck in high school.

"The pen is in your hands, the rest is still unwritten.  Moving on is simple. It’s what we leave behind that’s hard.  Remember today, for

it is the beginning of always. Today marks the start of a brave new future filled with all your dreams can hold. Think truly to the future and make those dreams come true.  Its not the days in your life you’ll remember, it’s the memories.  Moments have passed, memories do last.  If you don't know where you are going, any road will take you there.  Be the change you want to see in the world." Gandhi

End of the year activities
It was a crazy day yesterday with all of the activities. The 8th graders went to Camp Yamhill, the 7th graders went to see a movie and the 6th graders had field day. I am happy to say that we all survived. I want to specifically thank Kelly Ceder and Leadership for their organization of the event. I also want to that Terry Ellson and Ann Marie Benetti for their efforts in running the office in the midst of all the activities. They both have a unique ability to multi-task. I also want to thank the parent volunteers that helped supervise the students as well as pick up the food. The kids had a great time.

Grades
We plan on mailing out grades at the end of next week. Remember, the grades that you receive will be SEMESTER grades which will be an average of the 3rd and 4th quarter grades.

Construction
Beginning June 19th our building will be in a remodel phase with our Elective and Science wings being remodeled. We are also getting new flooring on the first level including the Commons. It is an exciting time!

Office Hours this summer
Our office will be open through June 29th with daily hours of 7:15 AM through 3:15 PM. The office will open again on August 15th.

Retiring Staff Members
Again we want to wish our retiring staff members well as they head off into another chapter in their loves. Mrs. Williams, Mrs. Housgard, Mrs. Buren, and Mrs. Hagedorn, we will miss you!

Summer
This summer I plan on working, taking classes at George Fox, taking a trip to Lake Tahoe, and finally building a tree house for my kids. I want to thank all of you for your continuing support of not only your student(s), but of our school as well. Take care and have a great summer!
