Mr. Franco

Happy Friday to All of You!

Doernbecher week
This week and next week we are holding our annual fund raiser for Doernbecher Children's Hospital in Portland. Students can donate by purchasing t-shirts and/or Doernbecher Dolly's. Today we had a school assembly

with individual speakers and kids sharing information about their experiences with the hospital. There will be a dance fundraiser on March 11th.

Sex Education
Letters went home last week either in the mail or carried home by the students about upcoming units on Sex Education. Mrs. Spang's, Ms. Hudson's, and Ms. Demille's classes will begin next week while Mrs. Garland's 8th grade classes will begin the following week. All 6th grade classes will begin the week of April 4th. If you have questions or concerns please do not hesitate to call me or Mr. Hampton. You are more than welcome to look at the curriculum if need be. If you do NOT want your student(s) to participate please return the letter signed or call the school Monday morning.

During 1st period, students were shown a You Tube clip on the consequences associated with bullying as well as steps that can be taken to address bullying if it happens to you, or if you see it happening to other students. Blue on 2 day will happen on the 2nd day of each month.

8th grade forecasting

On Monday during 1st and 7th period the High School Principals and counselors will be here to forecast with our 8th graders. Students will be separated by their future school and will sign up for their classes. 8th graders should know now what school they will attend next year.
