Happy Thanksgiving to All of You! Our November newsletter is attached below.
I wanted to take this time to express thanks from the CV staff to all of the parents for your support this first part of the year. It has been an outstanding start to the school year. As a staff we are very focused on instruction centered upon the state standards with a school and district wide emphasis on writing. We have been, and will continue to work on daily learning targets in each classroom so each student knows exactly what they are expected to learn during each lesson. I encourage you to ask your students whether or not they met their targets each day. I am also very excited to tell you of the consistent collaboration between our staff and the staff at Mountain View. The teachers have been working to create consistency in learning targets across both middle schools and in doing so are engaging in dialogue centered upon student data. There is no doubt that this will lead to increased student achievement on multiple levels. We do this in continual efforts to prepare our students for high school graduation.
So, as we head into the 2nd quarter please know that we value your support and cooperation and we look forward to what lies ahead.
