5th Grade Boy's Service Group at JA

The 5th Grade Boy's Service Group at JA just finished making paracord bracelets to be sent to Operation Gratitude.  These bracelets are 7 1/2 feet long and can be used to help soldiers tie off wounds, use the cord to wrap supplies during survival camping, or even can unwind to cut off pieces of string to start a fire.

The boys brainstormed a list of service projects they wanted to do during the year.  They have on their list helping with the school garden, putting together a math fair for all students, but this paracord project became the project at the top of the list after they did some research.

The boys from left to right are Adan Mayren, Asher Lindell, and Armando Gonzalez, and each made six bracelets.  They worked on them during a month of their group.
