Kindergarten Tea tradition continues

Joan Austin welcomes every new kindergarten student and their parents at a "grown-up" tea party held just before the start of kindergarten in September. China tea cups, fancy cookies, fresh flowers and doilies are carefully set on the library tables. Mrs. Austin established this tradition when the elementary school bearing her name opened in 2004.
