Those of you following the Oregon State University women's basketball team journey to the Final Four may not know that Coach Scott Rueck and his wife Kerry are both former Newberg School District teachers.
Before Scott's career at GFU and OSU, he taught physical education for three years at Renne Junior High School and Springbrook Middle School from 1993 - 95. Renne was located next to the school district office - Springbrook is now Mountain View Middle School.
Kerry Rueck, featured in the article below, taught 4th and 5th grade at Antonia Crater Elementary from 1995-2009. She student taught with Terry Evers at Ewing Young Elementary.
The Rueck's still have strong connections to the Newberg community. Paco (NHS) and Ann Marie Benetti's (CVMS) daughter is an OSU student who currently serves as the student manager for the OSU women's basketball team.
