2022-2023 Free & Reduced Meals & Dietary Accommodations Announcement

Newberg School District’s nutrition program will change for the 2022-23 school year due to decreases in federal funding and waivers.  This change means meals will no longer be free for all students at every Newberg School District school.

Newberg School District will no longer receive pandemic relief funding which previously allowed all students to eat without charge. All students, except those who are approved for free and reduced lunch, must pay for all food sold across the district (i.e. meals, snacks, milk for sack lunches, etc.). Applications and updated meal prices are provided on our Nutrition Services webpage. Students who qualify for this benefit will be notified of approval.

Children with food allergies or intolerances must complete a dietary accommodation form signed by a licensed medical professional. This ensures our nutrition services staff provide the proper precautions and menu items to meet the safety needs of our students. Students will only be accommodated with an allergen-safe meal by completing this form. Please use the form provided on our Nutrition Services webpage to request dietary accommodations.
