Happy Friday the 12th Ewing Young Parents-
It's been a very full and exciting week at school. We have had many different things happening and a lot of excitement going on.
On Tuesday, we celebrated Ewing Young Day (the 175th year since his passing). Our students learned how Ewing Young was an important figure in the history of Oregon and our local area. We took an all school picture in the morning and sang the Ewing Young school song at lunch. Once we have the picture, we will get this to parents.
Last night, the NHS boys’ basketball team invited our school to join them as they beat Sherwood! Coach Brown and his team have been very supportive of our students and I know the kids enjoyed watching them in action.
We finished the week with Valentine's Day parties and learning about our nation's presidents with an understanding that on Monday, February 15th there will be no school as we honor them.
In the next few weeks, hearing screenings will be completed for 1st grade.
