Mr. Milner's Friday Message 9/9/2016

Dear Ewing Young Parents-

Wow- what a great start to the school year!  Within a few short days, it feels like we have been in school for weeks.  Thanks for your part in preparing your child for the return to school.  Schedules and lunches are always the areas that need the most adjusting, and I think we have this figured out!

As we start the year, our staff has been reviewing our school rules (Be Safe - Be Respectful - Be Responsible) and applying these rules to all parts and areas of our school.  Ewing Young students do a great job of following rules, but it is always a good thing to review them as we start a new school year.

We are excited to welcome the new staff who will be working with our students during the year ahead.  Each of them; Mr. Taylor (First Grade); Mrs. Keyser (ELL/Reading/4th-5th Grade Teacher); and Mrs. Jones (Behavioral Specialist (Counselor), will play an important role in working with the students they serve.  It will be fun to watch them interact with students in the days and years to come.

I'm looking forward to talking with parents at our first Ewing Young Support Team meeting Tuesday evening (6:30) in the library.  For all school happenings, please check out our school's webpage (EY Website).

Coming home today is a reminder about Assessment Day, September 19th.  School will be dismissed at 1:00pm. Please take a moment to read about it and return the form if it applies to you child.

If you have questions, or would like to talk about your child's education, please feel free to contact me.

Have a great weekend.
