Happy Holidays Ewing Young Parents-

I hope the holidays are not getting too frantic for you and your family.  The kids here at school are doing a great job of working hard, I know this can be a challenge during this time of the year.

Our new student government, led by Mrs. Willems, "K Kids", have made some important decisions with regards to supporting people in need during the Holidays.  They voted to have a food drive and sock drive over the next few weeks to help those in need.  The details should be coming home with students, or it is also available on the Ewing Young Facebook page and school web page.  It is great to see that our students have compassion and want to help others.

As we start up the new year in January, there will be a vision screening (January 14) and visit from Safe Kids, a child abuse prevention organization.  Our office has sent home information to parents about these two happenings.  Please call if you have questions.

I'll be dodging raindrops to finish putting up the lights this weekend.  If you and your kids have the curiosity to learn about reindeer, my sister and daughter will be at Dennis' 7 Dees Landscaping & Garden Centers in Lake Oswego (Friday), Portland (Saturday) and Cedar Hills (Sunday) this weekend, teaching about them.  These animals are pretty cool and worth a closer look.

Thanks for the support you provide our staff and students.
