This Week
As you know, we started the week with Conferences and headed into Wednesday with students reporting to first period, walking to the Gym for an assembly to learn about the MV Parent Group Color Run (see below for more information) and returning back to 1st period to continue their day. Periods were shorter and passing time were 4 minutes long.
New Homework Coupons were distributed during Language Arts on Wednesday. Students will have the chance to turn in their old unused homework coupons for a treat during lunch on Monday, April 13.
Boy, Wednesday was a busy day! Sixth and Seventh graders, were notified that Wednesday was the first day of the time period to earn their first sticker for the 2015/16 school year. We do have an exception…they are also earning this year’s End of the Year Mall trip (scheduled for June 9). Eighth graders aren’t left out because they are earning the Mall trip as well as the 8th Grade trip (scheduled for June 11 following the 8th Grade Celebration).
Thursday, any student with a Round 4 yellow sticker or a Super Star Sticker earned the reward of spending their lunch time in the Lecture Room for 30 minutes of electronic time, YouTube videos and door prizes!
Coming Events
April’s Sprit Day is on Wednesday, April 15. It is wacky, tacky dress up day!
Our next dance is the Doernbecher Dance which will be held in May.

8th Graders
Today, we called 8th Graders to the Office who have already purchased their 8th Grade Celebration T-shirts. While in the Office, they gave us their t-shirt size (examples were available for sizing) and signed a graphic of the year 2015 which will be applied to the t-shirt 8th Graders will wear at the 8th Grade Celebration. On Monday, we will be announcing that any 8th Graders who were not called down to the Office and who plan to participate in the 8th Grade Celebration will need to buy a t-shirt before May 1. T-Shirts cost $10 and can be purchased by bringing $10 to the Office or online at Mtn. View’s WebStore. When the t-shirt is purchased, students will sign the graphic and give us their size.

Congratulations
Congratulations to our Students of Month winners: Oliver Myers, Lorelei Kern and Jacob Howard! How are students chosen? Teachers send nominations of their hardest working students to the Wildcat Pride School Pride Committee who review the nominations and post the winners on the bulletin board in the Commons as well as notifying the Office for announcements. What does a hard worker look like? It is someone who might not have the highest grades, but is always trying to improve.

Color Run
Thank you to Wendy Roberts for kicking off the MVPG Color Run Fundraiser at Wednesday’s assembly. Three turn in dates are scheduled…lunch time on April 17, 24 and 30.
When you register your student, it will ask for a teacher name, please enter your student’s 7th period teacher.
