A comprehensive list of prevention and intervention resources in the Newberg School District area compiled by the school district drug and alcohol prevention/intervention specialist. This information is provided as a service by the Newberg School District and should not be interpreted as a recommendation or endorsement.
 

Drug and Alcohol Intervention

  • NA Meetings 7:30pm Tuesday at St. Michael's Church 110 S. Everest Rd, Newberg

Outpatient Services

  • CareMark Behavioral Health Services – Outpatient Chemical Dependency - Chemical dependency evaluation and counseling including weekly group therapy sessions up to four times a week. 503-692-2623 OR 503-413-4848
  • First Step Adolescent Center - A state licensed program offering adolescents specific chemical dependency outpatient treatment services. 503-538-7647
  • Yamhill County Newberg Annex-Chemical Dependency Program Outpatient substance abuse treatment for adolescents, persons with co-occurring mental and substance disorders, and criminal justice clients. 503-434-7462 OR 503-538-7302 x7462
  • Yamhill County Prevention Program Substance abuse prevention/intervention resources including but not limited to assessments, counseling , group sessions, parenting classes and behavior management. 503-538-7302 x4752
     

Residential Services

  • Chehalem Youth and Family Services Inpatient and outpatient treatment for behaviorally challenged adolescents; resources for children and families including counseling, crisis respite, parent education and other services. 503-538-4874
  • Northwest Behavioral Healthcare Provides residential services to troubled youth ages 12-17. Drug and alcohol assessments are provided upon appointment. 503-722-4470
  • Oxford Recovery House: A democratically run, self-supporting, drug free home in McMinnville. 503-435-4944
  • Helping Hands Reentry: Residential support for drug and alcohol addicted citizens including housing, food, clothing, structured living, counseling and job placement. 503-560-9387 or 503-560-9386

  • Family Health Insurance Assistance Program - Pays 50-95% of insurance premiums for persons who qualify. 503-474-3612
  • Henderson House: Provides victims of domestic and sexual abuse shelter, safe and confidential services.  24-hour crisis line: 503-473-1503 OR 877-227-5946
  • Housing Authority of Yamhill County: Provides affordable housing to lower and moderate income families in Yamhill County as well as rental assistance. 503-434-6571
  • Love, Inc in Newberg - Connects families in need with local churches and services agencies. 503-537-3999
  • Newberg-Dundee Youth Outreach - Prevention services and activities 503-538-8023.
  • Newberg Job and Career Center - Provides employment services, career counseling and job training.503-537-4065
