First lunch rocked out today as the 8th graders won music at lunch for showing the most spirit during last Friday’s Color Competition Spirit Day!
Box Top Contest
Mtn. View’s next Box Top contest begins on Monday, February 9 and runs through February 20. Have your student drop their Box Top filled baggies in the container across from the Office. Don’t forget to put their name on the baggies because the top 3 people with the most box tops wins prizes…student and parent!
Wednesday Soccer at Lunch
Wednesday Soccer at lunch will be starting next Wednesday, February 11. What is Wednesday Soccer at lunch? Weather permitting, if your student wishes to play, they will head outside once students are dismissed from the lunch table, for a bit of soccer fun. Because this is Oregon and we do get a smidgen of rain, the field might be muddy. If you give your student the thumbs up to play when the field is muddy, we encourage them to bring a change of clothes in case theirs get grimy.
Val-O-Grams
Val-O-Grams will be for sale on Wednesday and Thursday, February 11 and 12, by the MV Parent Group during lunches for $1 each. Toward the end of the day Friday, students who received Val-O-Grams will pick them up. Would you like to purchase a Val-O-Gram for your student? Place a $1 as well as a note with your student’s name, who the Val-O-Gram is from and any message you’d like added to the Val-O-Gram in an envelope marked Office and drop it by the Office (you could have your student drop the envelope off too).
NHS Play
It’s time for the NHS Drama Department’s winter production as they present another entertaining Mark Twain comedy. Opening night was on February 5 with shows following on February 6, 7, 12, 13 & 14. Show times are 7pm in the NHS auditorium.

If you would like to purchase any of the following online, you can: PE shorts and shirts, sweatshirts and sweat pants, 8th Grade Celebration T-shirt, Art and Science Exploration class fees and yearbooks at the Mountain View Webstore. There is a processing fee for items purchased. You can also look to see if your student owes money for Instrument Rental, lost locks or lost textbooks and pay for them.
