The Catalyst school year consists of six six-week terms, or learning cycles, in which a student can earn .25 for each course they are enrolled in and pass. Each term is followed by a teacher prep day and there is no school. The annual Catalyst calendar is somewhat different than the Newberg School District calendar but features the same number of school days, weekends and holidays.
Discovery
Students will spend their first term at Catalyst in a three-period Discovery class designed to create a school climate that is positive and supportive to student achievement. Discovery students are scheduled into three periods from 8:00am - 12:45pm daily. Upon successful completion of Discovery, students will begin their second term with a full schedule.
Real World
Real World students are scheduled in to five classes from 9:00am - 2:45pm.
Free breakfast and lunch is provided to all students at school.

- Discovery and Real World class are from 9:00 am - 2:40 pm daily. Wednesday late start begins at 10:00 am
- PM Extensions is from 2:45-4:45 pm.
