American Legion Accepting Applications For State

Newberg Post 57 is accepting applications for American Legion Boy’s State and Girl’s State to be held June 17-23, 2012 at Willamette University. This program introduces high school juniors to local, county and state government operations. While at the camp, participants will elect officials, enact laws, and manage government in a mock setting. Speakers from the legislature, state bar association, Governor’s office, city government, and county government will address the assembly.
