Art Walk features NHS artist showcase
Youthful Expressions, a juried show of Newberg High School student art work, is on display at the First Friday Art Walk, May 4th, at the Chehalem Cultrual Center. An artist reception and awards presentation will be held at 6:30 p.m.
The exhibit features ceramics, paintings, drawings, sculpture, three-dimensional works, digital and graphic art.
Over 750 students are enrolled in visual arts classes taught by Stashia Cabral, Terry Sprando, Ian Reynoso and Dan Evonuk. The juried art exhibit presented in the community is an important way to enhance high school arts standards according to the art teachers.
Youthful Expressions is sponsored by a generous grant from the Newberg Education Foundation and support from ART Elements Gallery. The exhibit closes May 5th.
The Chehalem Cultural Center is located at 415 E. Sheridan, Newberg.
