Dance Policy
Students at Newberg High School dances are expected to:
Show current Newberg High School ID at the door – no ID, no dance!
All NHS dance guests must have on file a guest pass request and show picture ID at the door.
Guests will be invited to attend Homecoming, Winter Formal and Prom only.
Follow the dance dress code:

• Dresses/skirts: length must be 6 inches below the buttocks

• The 4 B's must be covered at all times: bottom, breasts, belly and back

• Shirts must be worn at all times

Those dancers not dressed appropriately will not gain admission to the dance.
Dirty dancing or grinding is not allowed. Front to front as well as front to back will not be allowed as long as both dancers are perpendicular to the ground or less than 45 degrees from perpendicular. Administrators and chaperones will give fair warning to those dancers deemed inappropriate by marking an “X” on their hand. If a dancer continues to dance inappropriately, their parents will be called and be removed from the dance.
These expectations were developed by a group of students and the administration.
Anyone removed from a dance will not be allowed to attend any dances!
