FFA public speakers will advance to sectionals

Congratulations to members of the Newberg FFA who competed at the District Creed, Knowledge and Extemporaneous Speaking event last week, held at Central High School. Results are as follows:

Knowledge Team: 2nd

Creed Speaking: 1st Place-Austin Babcock

Creed Speaking: 2nd Place-Sierra Drill

Extemporaneous Speaking-Beginning: 1st Place-Aaron Morland
Extemporaneous Speaking-Beginning: 4th Place-Andrew Heesacker

Extemporaneous Speaking-Advanced: 1st Place-Kory Blake

All first and second place winners are eligible to compete at the Sectionals (pre-state) competition which will be held Tuesday, March 1st at Newberg High School.

There are two more District competitions between now and Sectionals: Parlimentary Procedure, Prepared Public Speaking, & Job Interview and District Convention.
