"NEWBERG HIGH SCHOOL CHALLENGES STUDENT-ATHLETES TO EXPECT EXCELLENCE, FROM THEMSELVES AND OTHERS IN THE ATHLETIC ARENA, WITHOUT EVER COMPROMISING EXCELLENCE IN PERSONAL AND ACADEMIC PURSUITS."

Welcome to the Newberg High School Athletics website. The core beliefs of our Athletic programs are the foundation of what we are trying to build within each person that participates in a sport here at Newberg High School.

We believe in the athletic, academic and personal development in our student-athletes.

We believe that anyone witnessing our teams compete will see many examples of student-athletes demonstrating a tremendous work ethic, experiencing adversity and success, and striving for excellence.

We believe that through participation in our programs, each student-athlete will witness a classroom like no other.  High School athletics provides the best teaching environment for learning important lessons that will guide student-athletes towards a successful life.  No other classroom has the opportunity to teach how important it is to build trust, to make sacrifices for the good of the team, and how important that commitment is to each other.

We thrive and survive on the positive involvement of our parents and our community.  Without the support of these groups, our programs must work that much harder to provide an atmosphere where there is a strong commitment to excellence.
