Newberg High School make the top 50 finalists in design competition and need your vote to advance

Newberg High School is one of the top 50 finalists out of over 3,000 entries in the Vans Custom Culture art competition. This is a national high school customization competition using blank Vans shoes to be customized around specific themes.

Students designed four styles of blank Vans shoes around Vans’ “off the Wall” lifestyle: action sports, arts, music and local flavor. Devin Ford, Chandler Everett, Mitchell Dummer, Devin Lyda and Chailyn Lucero designed the shoes pictured above.

The top finalists will be selected through public voting starting now until May 10. Newberg High School is currently listed along with all the other finalists at vans.com/customculture.  School, classmates and community need to vote for Newberg between now and May 10 to make it to the top five.

The winning school will receive $50,000 towards its art program and the potential of one of its designs sold in Vans retail location. The four-runner up schools will be receiving $4,000 towards their art program.
