Athletes of the Month for May

Marcus Dufour, Junior (Baseball):

Marcus is one of our outstanding fielders.  He has steadily improved and is getting the attention of league coaches.  With a batting average over .500 and an impressive work ethic, Marcus was chosen to play in the Annual Futures Baseball Game, this July, at Volcanoes Stadium in Keizer, Oregon.

Tori Eichten, Senior (Golf)
Tori has been a three sport athlete all four years at Newberg high school. She has participated in Soccer, Cross Country, Basketball and has been the number one player on the girls golf team. During the golf season she has been a high performer on the golf course herself but also she has helped other girls to learn the game of golf and be a role model for them. For her Senior project she and a teammate took on the coaching of a 5-6 grade girls basketball team, helping to shape the future of Tiger Basketball. She has managed this all while also earning a perfect 4.0 GPA and will represent her graduating class as a valedictorian in June.
