Meanwhile, our varsity football team also made the top ten in their respective sport coming in fourth overall with a 3.33 team GPA! Newberg NationThoughts…
~Principal Risen
Have you been wondering what all this buzz about “The Flying Tigers” is? Well, the Flying Tigers were a United States Army Air Corps unit that flew missions during World War II in the Pacific Theatre of operations. Short on resources, the odds stacked against them and facing a vastly superior opponent, they refused to allow any of these challenges to get in the way of completing and fulfilling their missions!
Credited with inspiring hope in Americans at home and abroad due to their bravery, commitment to excellence and “can do” spirit the Flying Tigers dared to be great, as should we! It is in this spirit that In the near future we will begin giving out Flying Tiger awards, recognitions given to any stakeholder of Newberg Nation that demonstrates the same daring, greatness and spirit that the Flying Tigers embodied for Americans during WWII, and ever since!
So how are you adding value to Newberg Nation? Are you a Flying Tiger?
