In The News: Kim wins regional piano competition

Newberg High School junior Nathan Kim was selected as the senior performance winner in the Northwest Division of the Music Teachers National Association Competition held over the weekend at Eastern Washington University. Kim has won the Oregon competition six years in a row (four times in the junior division) and after facing fellow state winners from Washington, Alaska, Idaho, Montana and Wyoming at the regional, he will travel to Baltimore, Maryland, in March to compete as a national finalist. Kim was also a national finalist in 2015.
