NHS choir in the national spotlight

Mezzo Devotion, the NHS A Cappella choir, can be considered one of the top eight A Cappella choirs in the world, according to choir director Jason Taylor. The 26-member choir emerged as the top group in the northwest regional semi-finals of the International Championship of High School A Cappella tournament held last Saturday in Tualatin. Mezzo Devotion performed three choreographed songs for a panel of judges, beating out the Wilsonville High School choir "Souled Out" which recently competed in the NBC TV show "The Sing Off."

The Newberg choir is eligible to join top choirs from seven other regions to compete at the international final competition in New York City on April 27th.
