NHS football leads 6A in academic achievement

For the second year in a row, the Newberg High School football team turned in the top academic performance among state 6A schools. The annual Dairy Farmers of Oregon/OSAA scholar athlete awards went to coach TJ Tomlin’s team for it’s 3.40 grade point average. The women’s cross country team placed second with a 3.93 average. Women’s soccer was fourth with a 3.75 average and the men’s soccer team made the top ten with a 3.33 average.
