"Once Upon a Mattress" preview at Fred Meyer

Overheard in the checkout line at the local Fred Meyer Store:  "I'm in love with a girl named Fred . . .my reasons must be clear  . . . . when she shows you all how strong she is you'll stand right up and cheer"

The Newberg High School cast of "Once Upon a Mattress" performed at Fred Meyers as part of the celebration organized by the Yamhill Cultural Trust. They sang and danced for the customers and employees, culminating in the Song of Love, which goes "I'm in love with a girl named Fred" - which was so appropriate. The cast got a warm reception and had fun sharing where we are in the rehearsal process said Drea Ferguson, drama teacher. The show opens on November 3rd, and runs the 4th, 5th,10th, 11th & 12th at 7 p.m.
