Parent - Teacher Conference Survey

School conferences can be a great way for you, your student(s) and teachers to discuss the academic and social progress of your son or daughter. In reviewing parent surveys from the past several years, it is obvious that we've been unsuccessful in past attempts to conduct conferences in a format that meets the needs of many of our families. Additionally, we are aware that we need to improve our registration process at the beginning of the year and create worthwhile experiences for families whenever we are hosting events to benefit parents, guardians and students. 

If you are attending conferences this year, you will notice that we have kept the same format as used in 2015-16 while we develop another approach to conferences for the future. We are planning to change or modify our format either this spring or next year. In order to create a conference experience that better meet your needs, we are requesting your input. Please take a moment to fill out the following survey. Even if you were unable to make it this fall, we want your feedback. This survey will ask questions concerning conferences, registration and other parent/student events. 

Additionally, I will be hosting a monthly parent forum to meet and discuss different topics. The purpose of the meeting is to gain a deeper understanding of your experience as a parent in areas we will be making efforts to improve. Our first forum will be held on October 20th from 5:30-6:30pm in the West Commons. The conversation will be focused on registration, conferences and curriculum night. I look forward to meeting with parents later this month.
