Representative Bonamici visits NHS Career, Technical Programs

Career Technical Education programs at Newberg High School provided an eyeful for Oregon Representative Suzanne Bonamici as she visited classrooms and talked to students and educators Friday afternoon. NHS Principal Mark Risen, Superintendent Kym LeBlanc-Esparza and School-to-Business Coordinator Vicki Peterson showed Bonamici and her staff how NHS students were applying CTE skills in culinary, CAD, robotics and Great Expectations classes. A strong supporter of STEM, the Congresswoman visited Michelle Poletski's new Introduction to Engineering class funded by the $497,000 CTE grant to the Newberg School District.
