Rumor control: No credible threat at NHS

The events that took place today in Connecticut were felt across the country by staff , students and families.  It certainly raised anxiety and concern on the high school campus today.

In addition to the feelings that were prevalent, rumors added to the anxiety felt by many. Please know that the administration, counselors and members of the Newberg/Dundee Police Department heard, investigated and found no credible evidence of any of the rumors shared with us.

Please know that the students were very helpful in aiding us in our investigations. School principals and counselors personally talked to every class during the final period of the day.  Students were encouraged  to talk about their feelings with their parents and to share with school staff any additional information they may hear over the next few days.
