State agency uses NHS senior project for logo

Two NHS students in Jane Eilert’s My Future My Choice class created a logo to promote the program as part of their senior project last year. Today that logo is the symbol for the statewide sexuality education program.

My Future-My Choice is a comprehensive sexuality education curriculum. The ten-part education series aims to provide middle school students with tools to resist social and peer pressure to become sexually involved before they are ready.

Evan Placek and Ryan Beckham used their original logo design for a t-shirt for NHS students to use. They submitted their design when the Oregon Department of Human Servicesn called for logo entries for a statewide logo. The multi-colored logo pictured here was selected and Placek and Beckham shared the $100 award.
