Thank you to everyone who volunteered to help chaperone at Prom.  It was a great event and a fun evening for our students!  The weather and venue were beautiful and is sure to be a night that our students will remember.  Congratulations to Ben Fox and Kylee Duey on being voted the 2016 Prom King & Queen.

Congrats to Mr. Matthew Fletcher and the NHS Choir on finishing 7th at the OSAA State Choir Competition this past weekend.  This marks Newberg's best State Competition finish in school history!  Well done!

Congrats to Mr. Bob Beckner and Mr. Pete Siderius, along with all FFA students who competed in the Oregon Envirothon this past week at the Oregon Gardens in Silverton.  This year's Envirothon team consisted of Kylee Duey, Aaron Clark, Peter Fortner, Claire Retter and Ayla Roberts.  They were named State Champions for the live, On-Stage performance during the Invasive Issues PowerPoint Presentation, and 4th place overall for the project. 

The FFA Team Event participants were Paul Meyers, Todd Halleman, Hannah Lane, Branko Frketich and Kennedy Rainey.  They were named State Champions in the Invasive Species Test, Wildlife Test, and placed 5th overall for the competition. 
Newberg High School was named Dual Envirothon/FFA State Champions along with Sutherlin High School.  Well done!

Best of luck to all Spring Sport Coaches and Student Athletes as many programs enter into postseason tournaments and competitions over the next couple of weeks.
