Students bring home top FFA awards

Newberg Oregon School District

Newberg FFA teams and individuals brought home "lots of banners and success" from state convention according to advisor and ag teacher Bob Beckner. Newberg High School senior Aaron Morland was elected to the 2013-14 state officer team as Treasurer, meaning Morland will spend the year visiting high school FFA leadership programs around the state. Morland also earned top honors in Extemporaneous Public Speaking.

  • Information/Knowledge Team - 2nd Place - team members: Karissa Noragon (2nd high individual), Paige Virgin (4th high individual), Cayd Erickson, Cole Evans, Peter Fortner
  • Ag Marketing Team - 4th Place - team members: Josh Brown, Madie Kuhn, Jacob Volkman
  • Essay Contest - 2nd Place - Karissa Noragon
  • Small Animal Production Entrepreneurship Proficiency (project) - 1st Place Tia Piscitelli
