Symphonic choir breaks top ten at state!

The Newberg High School Symphonic Choir placed 8th at the OSAA State Championships on Saturday. Breaking into the top 10 is a remarkable achievement! It represents only the second time in Newberg's choir history that they have placed in the top ten. Every single member of the choir was OSAA academically eligible and no students on academic probation. I am very proud of their accomplishment. We opened the competition at 9 am at George Fox and set the bar high. The students sang with tremendous feeling and musicality.  Robert Hawthorne, Choir Director
