Top musicians selected for WBIC Honor Band

The following students were accepted to the Western International Band Clinic Honor Band in November.  WIBC is a international music convention held in Seattle every year and picks top student musicians from Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Alaska, Wyoming and Montana and collects them into a performance under the direction of 10 internationally known composers and conductors.  600 hundred students were selected this year.  Out of the 11 Newberg students who auditioned 10 were selected this year.  This is the largest group we have had selected for WIBC in 8 years.

The following students were selected to participate in the Oregon All State Honor Groups.  This is a huge honor and represents a huge amount of work.  These kids will be participating in OMEA All State Convention in January.  Take the top 1% of every music program in Oregon, put them in rehearsal under some of the best directors in the country...
